The Minister of Basic Education announced last week that the refined curriculum statement (CAPS) would not be introduced in 2011.  They will be implemented in the Foundation Phase, as well as all other phases, in 2012.  Teachers are, therefore, advised to continue with their planning for 2011 based on the current curriculum and assessment statements.  [...]
